The SWP judicial review that challenges the GLA’s planning permission to build on Wimbledon Park will be heard in the High Court on 8th and 9th July, in the middle of Wimbledon Fortnight.
It has taken 4 years and many thousands of pounds of your money to get us to this point so it is vital that on July 8th we make an impact.
We need a good turnout early in the morning of July 8th !
We invite anyone who supports us to travel with us . There are 2 travelling groups:
From Wimbledon Station via the District Line to Temple, meeting outside the Wimbledon main entrance at 07:30am. Co-ordinator is Susan Cusack (07958 948038)
Southfields: Meet outside Cafe Nero at 07:45am. Co-ordinator is Simon Wright (07957 144073).
We plan to travel by District Line to Temple but given how poor the underground has been this week we may need to switch to the overground.
If you can’t travel with us, meet us outside the Royal Courts of Justice in The Strand by around 8:30am.
We will protest peacefully with humour, banners, singing and SWP badges for all.
Please wear supportive tee-shirts, fancy dress and paraphernalia!
If you wish to hear the proceedings and enter the Public Gallery, please note that banners and campaign tee-shirts are not allowed so please bring a jacket or other suitable attire. Note also that there is airport style security.
Let’s make sure that AELTC think again!
