The Wimbledon Society have written a letter to Merton Council reminding them that the lands of the Wimbledon Park Golf Course are subject to Covenants between AELTC and the Council that prevent any development, put in place to satisfy Merton’s public promise to the Wimbledon Society and others.
The letter explains why the Covenants block the proposed development and why we consider that it and the promise amount to “material considerations”.
